남편이 얼마나 말이 없는 걸까요? 한번 보시죠~~

EPISODE: My quiet husband  저희 신랑은 엄청나게 말을 안합니다. 

My husband is very quiet. 

He’s so quiet that my parents never notice him at family gatherings.

같이 친정에 가서도 그 사람이 있는지 아무도 몰라요

He’s so quiet that our children ask

오죽하면 애들이 놀다가

“When’s Dad coming home?”  아빠는 언제와?

when he’s already home.  아빠는 소파에 앉아있는데

I knew he was quiet when we were dating, but I didn’t know it was this bad.

연예할때도 말수가 적은 건 알았지만 이정도 까지인지는 몰랐어요

For instance, I always wondered why he never got a promotion.

전 저희 신랑이 만년 사원인 줄 알았어요. 실력이 있는데 왜 승진을 못하는 걸까

I was curious, but didn’t want to stress him with questions.

스트레스 받을까봐 말을 안했는데  세상에!

Then I found out he was already a general manager!

만년사원인줄 알았는데 부장님이더라고요~

Why didn’t he tell me?! 왜 말을 안해?!

Then there was his friend and his wife. 애들 아빠 친한 친구들이 있는데

The four of us met often and even went on family trips together.

같이 여행도 가고

I hadn’t heard from them in a while so I called the wife.

얼마동안 연락이 없길래 제가 연락을 했어요

“Long time no speak! How are you doing?”

왜이렇게 연락이 없었어? 잘 지냈어?

“So-so, you know how it is…”  네 모 그렇죠머

“We should all get together some time, like we used to.”

가족 동반해서 같이 뭉쳐야지

“I guess you haven’t heard." 언니 모르셨나봐요

"We got divorced.” 저희  이혼 했어요

Why didn’t he tell me! I would have never called if I had known!

Also, he never mentioned his inheritance, so I thought there was none to expect.

But it turned out his parents owned a lot of real estate.

If he had told me, I would have been nicer to him!

I had said so many bad things about them.

Then one day, he came home and said he would be leaving for a business trip soon.

He said he would be there for a while and asked me to pack clothes for all seasons.

I said, “Who packs all that for a business trip? Just take some essentials.”

So he took the bag I packed and left for his business trip to the U.S.

On my way out of the airport, I got a call from my husband.

“What’s wrong? Did you get on the plane?”

“There’s a slight delay. I just wanted to tell you that I left a letter for you on my desk.”

Then he hung up.

I rushed home to read his letter.

It turned out it wasn’t a business trip.
